Here’s what some of the other students who have taken the course have to say:
"After the first lesson, it was already clear that this Pre- and Postnatal Intensive was going to be a gamechanger for my confidence as an instructor. I knew a bit about the dos and don'ts of moving my pregnant clients, but felt I needed more depth. I wanted to understand the nuances of the pregnant experience and how it applies in practice to my pilates movers. Without a doubt Erica's instruction and wisdom helped deepen my knowledge, while igniting new ideas for delivering a quality, safe workout. Even before I finished the intensive I was already putting the material to use, and I can now say I look forward to working with mamas! I recommend this Pre and Postnatal Intensive to all pilates instructors looking to deepen their instruction for pre and postnatal clients."
Samantha Horsell
"The Pre and Postnatal Intensive taught me everything that I wanted to learn that my Pilates training didn’t cover. Erica is an amazing instructor and teaches the material in way that you can actually comprehend and be able to retain. The manual is so well put together and professionally done. If you have questions or are apprehensive about working with pre and/or postnatal clients, take this intensive and you will gain the knowledge and confidence that you need!"
Caylee Wheeler
“Working with Erica has been a joy on so many levels! I learned so much valuable information from her Pre and Postnatal Intensive. I am a physical therapist and have incorporated Pilates into my rehabilitation starting a few years ago. This course was a perfect way to learn the most up to date information regarding safety with exercise and with use of all Pilates equipment. Erica’s library of videos and resources in the manual has provided ease and confidence when treating mamas. Pre and Postpartum mamas can sometimes be an intimidating population but, Erica made this course fun, informative, collaborative, and useful! I would highly recommend her program!”
Kelly Montgomery
"Erica has taken her vast knowledge of Pre & Postnatal Pilates and created the perfect intensive. She has found a really wonderful balance between anatomy and Pilates programming that I think can be applied to all clients, not just pre and postnatal moms. Working with pregnant clients and new moms was intimidating, as this is an extremely important and sensitive time in a woman's life. This course has given me the knowledge and confidence to choose this practice as my specialty, and I couldn't be more grateful."
Allison Hendrickson
“Erica put together such an amazing workshop answering everything I could've wanted to know about teaching pre & postnatal clients and more. The supplemental videos, exercise charts by trimester, explanation of areas of concern, etc. were so informative, easy to understand, and will be a reference point I come back to throughout my entire Pilates career. I feel so confident teaching moms and am blown away that we aren't taught some of this information at the beginning of our teaching training. I'm so thankful for Erica and would recommend this workshop to any instructor!”
Lucy Ragnow
“Being a new mom - a beautiful and life changing event - there is no way to deny the physical transformation of my body during this process. Now, one of the most challenging things that used to come so easy for me was working out. That word means so much more than just burning calories, it’s rebuilding a foundation of strength and mobility. Attending this workshop was so empowering. I now have the knowledge to safely and effectively program pre and postnatal Pilates workouts for myself. My focus is now centered on my form and breathing, and not the looming fear of causing harm to myself and or the precious life growing inside me.“

Meet your instructor: Erica Bell
12 years and over 7,200 hours of hands on teaching experience- much of that with mamas during & after pregnancy.
Educator. Mentor. Business Owner.
Before relocating to California 🌴 last year, I owned my own fully booked & waitisted home studio business in Michigan for 8 years. Since moving here, I've taught at various studios and ran my own workshops, mentorships, and helped lead teacher training programs. Teaching clients and educating teachers brings me so much joy and is my favorite thing to do (outside of sipping the occasional cosmo 🍸 & traveling of course 😉). My business has grown purely through referrals & word of mouth and I'm proud of that fact.
Certifications & continuing education are my JAM.
My primary goal as a pilates teacher has always been to acquire the knowledge I needed to serve my clients in ways that combined my athletic approach with aspects of healing to provide lasting results. In 2017 I became a certified Pre/Post natal Exercise Specialist via The Center for Women’s Fitness and in the years afterwards, I studied the work of Katy Bowman, Kim Vopni, Sarah Duvall, and Carolyne Anthony. This is all in addition to the following certs/degree:
STOTT Pilates Full Comprehensive Level 1 Certification in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels (2012-2014)
STOTT Pilates Level 2 Training in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels (2012-2014)
STOTT Pilates Injuries and Special Populations course (2013)
Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) (formerly PMA- CPT) (2017)
Pre/Post-natal Health and Exercise Certified Pilates Specialist (via the Center for Women's Fitness) (2017)
Specialist in Pilates-Based Exercise for Neurological Diseases (2018)
Pure Body Classical Bridge Program (2019)
